ramblings and things

I watched them climb on the bus
Him very tall and very spare
But you could see by his eyes
He wasnt really there.
Very smartly dressed
In summer jacket and slacks
His feel encased in shoes
Parade square shining black.
His wife I think it was
Very cool and calm
Guided him to his seat
By holding him by the arm.
When they got off the bus
i watched them down the street
He a little shaky
She precise and neat
I had seen the love in her eyes
As she martialled him with such care
The faithful loving partner and
Her man who wasn’t really there.
