If the Lord does not build the house,
Then where will I live with my spouse;
It is useless for us to start,
And let the builders to depart.

If the Lord never does protect,
We would feel the pain and neglect;
It is useless to stay alert,
So intruders would thwart effort.

It is useless to labor hard,
Having no one for standing guard;
There would not be enough to eat,
Or money for shoes on your feet.

Early to rise and to bed late,
Makes a person to hesitate;
Although the Lord does give you food,
Lack of sleep causes a bad mood.

Children are an inheritance,
As God gives mothers common sense;
Adding some insight on the side,
That will be helping her to guide.

They are given as a reward,
As a gift and sent by the Lord;
Children are born to men and wives,
The fruit of the womb for their lives.

Born to a man when he is young,
In the womb that the seed has clung;
For the Lord said to multiply,
To born the apple of His eye.

The light of your life as you see,
A boy as mighty as can be;
For the children of our youth,
Growing up not to be uncouth.
