Life's Journey

The journey we walk,
We walk not alone.
The mountains we climb,
A trail he has shown.
The parts we are playing,
In the wings he's watching .
The game we play,
Comes with his coaching.
The oceans we swim,
He's the lifeguard that tends.
Our bodies we've made worn,
He's the tailor to mend.
The yearning to be held,
He is our tender embrace.
The punishment we create,
He's a proxy to stand in our place.
The hunger we all feel,
He gives us food forever more.
When we are lost on life's ocean,
He's the lighthouse on the shore.
The knowledge we all seek,
He's the teacher to us he'll teach.
The problem we all have,
He puts the answers within our reach.
The path we wander,
We do with a compass.
The words we read,
We can find their purpose.
The silent prayers we speak,
Fall not on deaf ears.
Every blessing we humbly ask,
He graciously hears.
