An Unopened Book

My Choice

I've lost count of the people I've let down,
All the wrong choices I've made, could fill a book.
So many crossroads I've arrived; which road to take,
I made a choice and the wrong path I took.
Times I have lived heart filled with anger,
when my life should have made my heart glad,
Just to live in content with what I got.
To see every thing I created; everything I have.
I'll admit my life has made me some regrets,
But, believe me you'll never be one.
Of all my mistakes, hurting you I wish I could undo,
Marrying you is still my greatest decision I've ever made,
I'd do again in a second if ever I was asked to.
At that particular crossroad that came in my life,
I know the road I took was the right one; the best one.
And fighting to stay with you was never a regret,
Although some fights I wish I could've undone.
Some words spoken in anger I wish we could forget.
But, telling you I love you has never been a lie.
You know I'm not a perfect man; can't pretend to be,
But, it doesn't hurt anyone if I continue to try.
Through thick and thin the wins; the lost.
Beside you I will remain forever.
I will gladly pay what ever cost.
Our love is one that cannot be weakened by time.
Only strengthen the bonds by our trials faced.
In my arms love for you, you will find.
