Our Flag

So many stars does our flag bare,
this great flag which we all share.
With it's complement of bars and stripes,
A proud symbol flown both day and night.
A flag recognized around the world,
comes a emotion of pride when its unfurled.
But, do we see what's written there,
the cost; the history that we all share.
Do we realize what it proudly speaks,
as it decorates our buildings and streets.
Do we recall all the lives it cost.
The wars won; the battles lost.
It remind us of sacrifices made,
ones we continue make everyday.
To live the way we rightly do,
yes, remember that flag is for you.
A beacon for all, a symbol of rights.
Let it's stars shine both day and night.
Protect it's meaning, always remember,
our flag we will never surrender.
No matter how others will try,
let our great flag continue to fly.
Our pledge was to our flag & land,
so remember your proudly place hand.
That's your flag, earn its past,
you do that and it will always last.
