Of my life
Oh how I need
A poet's wife
To organize me
Maybe cook pie's for me
Tell me what to do
And where to go
Then I won't be so confused you know
In the muck and mire
Of creative desire
Where I've lost it
Pay the cost it costs for it
Not having my own home
It's not alone
But scattered
Once it mattered
But now
I just don't know
Where to go
Have mercy for me
Lost my identity
The one I had for years
Now I'm here fearing the fears
That come with losing all
I want to bawl
Try to hold back
It's a hard life
With this poet
At my back
Who is pulling me along
To write this singing song
Each and everyday
Because this poetry's a
Way to pray
And pray I do
That God showing me the way
Comes true
Somehow connected
Although imperfect-ed
Is the way it is
Perfected is his
Not mine
So trying not to whine
As I have to find

The mind of one
Trying to make it fun
Before my day is done
And there's no more
I have to find
What is in store
Beyond the clouds
Up in the sky
To stars and galaxies
I'll fly
You'll be there too
I know you will
Because inside
It feels
Like real
Not rational
Beyond that scientific fact
Farther than senses to get that
Thing that's in your soul of souls
Connected to a world that rolls
On through space time and distance
Have to find it with persistence
Patience
Kindness
Inner blindness
To what's to be
Have to find
