I thank Christ Jesus our Lord,
While I keep in one accord;
That He has given me His trust,
So going forward I will thrust.
He has appointed me to do,
His work with strength to get me through;
As I work through every day,
I proceed to trust and obey.
In the past when life seemed so grim,
I was vulgar and had cursed Him;
I acted arrogant and rude,
Having a real bad attitude.
But He gave me mercy and grace,
While giving His sweet embrace;
Because I just could not believe,
Through Jesus what I could receive.
I found the Lord was very kind,
Providing peace within my mind;
He brought me to faith and gave love,
From Jesus Christ who reigns above.
Faithful is what can be trusted,
Worthy of those that harvested;
For Christ came here to save sinners,
With salvation to be winners.
I am the chief of the sinners,
And use to recruit beginners;
Because I knew no other way,
The foremost sinner loved to stray.
But Jesus saw the true value,
The possible things I could do;
He demonstrated His patience,
Giving my final acceptance.
For patience is to be sincere,
So you can go and persevere;
To live forever is to strive,
In order for to stay alive.
Worship and glory forever,
Eternal life not to sever;
For our King whose immortal,
And will give you an acquittal.
