Let Me Be Singing

When it's time and you come,
Please let me be singing,
All the songs of joy.
I will be the one proclaiming.

When the world sees who you are.
In the crowd please hear my words.
Please let it be me singing,
Let my joy fill the sky let it be heard.

When it's time and your light appears
I pray you can see my face.
Let me be the one singing.
Let me be one who you'll embrace.

When others have doubted the truth,
Know that I always believed in you,
Please let me be singing.
Sweet songs of what you can do.

When you come with all your glory,
When choirs of angels voices sound.
Let me be the one singing.
Of your goodness your love profound.

When a hallelujah voice is heard from above.
Calling all attention to your loving grace.
Please let me be the one singing.
Let the tears of joy run down my face.

I will sing for you songs of love.
Songs of joy and songs of life.
Let me be the one singing.
When we are standing in your light.
