Standing skeleton like on the horizon
tall mysterious like giant guards
put there for the sake of mankind
to keep them in order - at peace -
These guards take no prisoners
only the landscape changes before the eye
only the leaves which gather in the gutter
making towns a multi-spectacle
piled up against walls
This outline of spindly guardian angels
bear no grudges, although they tower above...
majestic like princes without crowns
until spring comes along, then once more
they are crowned in all their glory -
