The Word of life was from the start,
As we have seen and having heard;
Most of us have taken to heart,
What has been written in the Word.
We observe it as well as touch,
Which we behold with our hands;
That in which we have seen so much,
While honoring His commands.
We testify what we have seen,
For what at one time which was sealed;
Of wonderful things that had been,
And now this life that has revealed.
We saw to bear witness to you,
Declaring a life eternal;
A relationship that is true,
And being no longer mortal.
So through His Son as our Lord,
A relationship now with God;
Who is our Father adored,
That we always honor and laud.
This is the message we have heard,
From Christ as reported to you;
For God is of light and has spurred,
No darkness at all to construe.
If we have a relationship,
But yet are living in the dark;
Then we are lying from the lip,
And the truth we never embark.
To live in the light the same way,
Then we have a relationship;
From God will never go astray,
Only truth will come from the lip.
So if we confess our sin,
God is faithful and will forgive;
And cleansing us from wrong within,
Then able to righteously live
