Winter eyes vacant
Winter eyes vacant since that day in September
When living seems difficult,
Despite the desire to breathe
We continue to search through mountains
And then back through the tunnel of raindrops
We have seen this, touch it, poured grief
Into life, and still the audacity to snow
Pouring over soul leaving disorder in a heart
Perhaps simple in understanding life
Still why must life die there is no answer
Neither on popping dawns nor frowning dusk
Walking in waiting heart still beating
