STAY ANYWAY

I think most thirteen
Year old's know what
Urine is
As a baby
It was pee-pee
There are donkey's
Who are also
Called asses
Which I'm sure most
Thirteen year old's
Say the word
Being the age I am
It's difficult to
Feel the guilt of
Censorship
Because it's just
Another bad thing
In my life
That went
Downhill
Since a year ago
Oh I have the pride
And the fashion
For passion
I let slide
On my lap
Sometimes saying cr@p
Which I'm sure
Thirteen year old's
Say too
I know they do
As a love in my life
Is almost fifteen
Mom police's
They hide their obscene
Have you listened
To rap
How it's four-letter cuss
Words are spitted
It's 2014 not 1964
Okay for a girl to
Call another girl a whore
In jest
At best
And it's taken years
For me not to flinch
As back in the day
When I was called a wench
Thinking it was a foul word
I told my mom what
I heard
And dealt with it
The way it filled it
The guilty abyss
The "wench" flying kiss
That kissed my years
So long ago
I don't need trouble
To be judged
So if I fudged
On what I say
It's to make a poem
Sound a certain way
Not be be breaking
Any rules
The powers that be
Deem necessary
To carry
This site along
Where I belong
And have stayed
For almost 10 years
Now
Only working on a
Million
Reads
In the last year
I will get there
But understand
I'm not trying to underhand
The ones who run this
Place
I want your grace
Not your
Condemnation
When it comes to
My poetry
As life is not all
Kittens and bunnies
Fluff and candy
Sometimes it's
Wolves and cougars
Rock and randy
That appear
When I'm writing
Here
On my brother's
Back porch
With the sun
Leaving
Don't censor me
I've had enough
Grieving to
Last a lifetime
My poetry is
Sublime
It's read
It's what comes out
Of a real
Person's head
And DREAMWEAVER
Is the
Only poet I
See who has
More reads than
Me
I know you want
To help the
New
But leave the old
Alone
Could you?
It's all I have
As my work
And I don't get
Paid
For being truthful
In this poetry
I've laid
Upon your electronic
Window
Some ten years ago
As for where my
Time's
Went
It's all written here
You know
Dated and timed
Fumbling rhymes
That will ride the
Wheels turning
In my head
So take me
As I am
I don't need
Another reason
To want dead
In these most
Difficult years
I need you here
And you need me
To bring my traffic
Here to see
What writing poetry is
About
The joy, the pain
The disgrace, the clout
That it can give
If you'll let
Someone's poetry
Live
Right here
As I don't want
To leave
Copy every poem
On paper
Taper
What I have come
To know as
Home
Go roam
Away
Ask so many of
My poet friends
Have done
Gone
Bye-bye
It makes me cry
And some have died
JASON LAMMONS
My poet friend
From Shreveport
Louisiana
I was hooked
On
The FIRE INSIDE
He left here
Too
Do you ever think
It's because of you?
People often
Run and hide
When you condemn
Them
Defriend them
Leave them
Choking in the
Dust
When they take away
The trust
Of being open
Closing doors
Windows nailed shut
In a censorship rut
When doing nothing
Wrong
But writing heartunes
Song
To let the people
In this world
See
There's a production
Poet in me
Filling white sheets
Named after sweets
But often sour
And now her only power
Is this pen
For this night
Only trying to
Get it right
Somehow tone down
The woman with
Experience in
Me
Because I do
Attempt to write
The stuff it's
Okay for a
Thirteen year
Old to see
Time is not going
Back
The 1950's life
I'll lack
Except for
In the
Day dream
Of my kind
So come into
The present
With an open
Mind
That teenagers are
Smarter
Than we know
They'd make this
Poem short
And just say
You don't like
It?
Whatever!
Blow!
