EMERALD CITY

Life crashed down
After a huge storm
Home in the wheat fields
Flew into a dust devil
Of chaos
As it was lost
Beaten down
Kind of busted
In homelessness
Not trusted
A world
Where much
That once was
Is lost
Until a brother
Pays the cost
For you
To follow
The Yellow Brick Road
The hell away
From the mean witch
Who cursed you
Left you crying
With her cruelty
Ran then
Reached The Emerald City
Where some pity
Is really
What was needed
Sort of heeded
Since here
Came without
Gold
And jewels
Sad heart
That
Couldn't
Sing at
All
All Winter
Most of Fall
Took away away
Away away
The simple
Life I had to
Understand
Big storm
Comes up
Blows you
Up into another land.
