The Lords View
On this hike to mountains top,
To see a perspective of the lords view.
Under pines beside a narrative brook.
Accompanied by sweet birds song.
Rocks placed to make me stumble.
Obstacles I may with help defeat.
Frost to chill dew filled branches and grass.
Animals call good morning to each other.
As they move from place to place without care.
A hidden lake like a mirror for the clouded sky.
Rocky shores accept the waves clapping.
The crest begins I look around to see,
A silent earth, no sound besides the windy breeze.
Here I fall to my knee and pray,
Lord has given us eyes to see,
Ears to hear, sensation to feel.
But only if we look, listen, touch.
Will we ever see the Lords view.
