When You Think of It Who Are You

When you think of it  who are you that God should be mindful of you.
For what do you have to offer Him that is worthy of the taking?
The question that should be on our hearts and minds is who am I.
This question should be on every tongue everywhere.
For the Lord has made you to serve Him and to be His child.
It is up to us to accept His offer of salvation and of redemption.
For us to matter to God we must be willing to confess our  sins.
Above all, don't think of yourself as being higher than the Lord ever!!!!
For the one who thinks himself  to be something when he is nothing fools only himself.
I have to deal with piety year after year for I get heady and high minded.
I have to learn to  become humble and to abase myself so God reigns supreme.
Forget the old ways of thinking yourself to be someone when you only have God to lean upon.
Become abased for the right reason and God will exalt you, in due time.
He has promised to do so and He will for He cannot and will not lie.
