Poetic Verses
That Invention
There is no doubt that the expansion of this invention
Has given it that ability to capture the attention of the generation
It is no surprise that it has such a mental and physical grip
And when not in use can be seen being proudly displayed on the hip
Some people can be so engrossed that they cannot be detached
As though what is happening there has them so latched
I had to shake my head in disbelieve seeing someone so much into it
That the person walked right into the street with busy traffic
It can such a fascination to see the extent of the body of application
And this may make some curious and other a form of addiction
It can be so amazing that in the time the older models are trade
So that the owners can pay the difference to get that upgrade
Many people can be seen walking with those heads in the cloud
And a sound is being emitted that is certainly annoying and very loud
A time one of those people collided into me as we were passing
That has the audacity to ask me if I was not watching where I was going
Try taking any type of journey by any form of public transportation
Or be at the beach to soak in the sun and too get some relaxation
One would want to know if this is a silent zone, not type of conversation
Because these mechanisms will be the focus of those present attention
As always adults behavior is more often emulated by the children
And this too is presenting to a large extent a very serious problem
Now all that infrastructure in place so that they can laugh and play
They too have been smitten and there their attention will stay
But what is so shocking and also so very surprising
That all the time spent on these things regularly perusing
That when posed with a question about a recent happening?
You can be that they will say of it there is no knowing
