The days of then and you still keep
Sweet dreams of fragrance when asleep
A heart that breathes such air of you
Today again with breath I drew
Nourished once more to walk again
The steps, the past alone now mends
A better me who comprehends
Understanding why we could not be
The part that lives as now I see
That part of you that helps me breathe
If just in words I draw this day
Your face upon this page they'd say
I miss dearly with every word
Each keystroke struck, sweet voice yours heard
Write one more for me it says
Write to soothe what in us plays
A melody of past and present
A choir sung that brings your presence
And so you are if just for now
To wake again and show me how
How to be if one more day
How to breathe of you that stayed
If just a Breath
