A TINY HOPE

A TINY HOPE

Soft as the whispers in the night

Her breath displays her soul, not quite

A frail creature locked in the citadel of her pride,

Disillusioned, in dreams she hides.

Dazzling as emeralds in the dark

Her tears bequeath−a pain that marks.

A tiny hope she longs to touch

A single beam…isn't much.

But as she prays and prays for a start

Sorrow begins to fade and smile gets into her heart.
