It feels as if the whole world
Has drawn in a great deep breath
As we stand on the precipice
Of another turning in time,
Another change in the continuum.
And now, as we look over the edge
Everyone is too afraid
To let that last breath out,
Each in their own way
And their own time
Waiting to turn a deeper blue,
Finding it more comfortable
To let our lungs explode
Rather than to breathe
And draw in that first cold air
Of a world controlled
By a Godless dream.

It seems the west is drowning in apathy as we wade
Through our silence
While Christians in the Middle East
Are crying out for our help as they face execution
For something so dangerous as their beliefs.
