On that day a song will be sung,
On that day the words will be flung;
Throughout the city that is so strong,
Fortified to hold back the wrong.
Its walls and fortifications,
With its reinforced foundations;
Providing a very safe place,
While God is shedding His grace.
Open the gates let the just in,
The faithful that are free of sin;
With perfect peace You protect those,
Whose has the minds that purity flows.
They will not change for they trust you.
As they remain faithful and true;
As you should always trust the Lord,
A pure rock not to be ignored.
God is an everlasting rock,
That truth comes from every talk;
And with a solid foundation,
Is giving you your salvation.
He has brought down those who live,
In the city who not forgive;
Spacious offices in tower,
With His awesome mighty power.
He levels it down to the ground,
Into the dust a crashing sound;
Feet trampled oppressed to the shore,
Under the footsteps of the poor.
Now the righteous path is level,
Making the way for the devil;
For playing such immoral games,
And forgetting what God proclaims.
We wait with hope for our Lord,
For some are still in one accord;
We follow the path of His guide,
Because we still want to abide.
