Foreign to the land alone where I stand
Hard for outsiders to overstand
how meaningless it is to do only whats asked,
Somethings should not have to be explained;
Watching non-verbal replies,
Occasional lies
And fraudulent denies,
Talking bout my memory failing
Maybe the reaction should be
to cast down buckets where ye' stay
Or perhaps break-camp
and set sail over 7seas,
Enjoying the breeze
and leap out on faith;
Foreign to the land
no ancestral lineage
only displacements
and replica replacements;
It's difficult
to put yourself inside another's shoes
and truly feel their blues
without ending up distorted
and confused,
Few attempt
even less succeed
Falling asleep to embrace dreams
Praying to wake with breath to breathe
While the rest in p.e.a.c.e
Are physically conscious
but mentally hibernating
without the realization
of their own paralyzing stagnation;
Foreign to the land,
Stranger to most
except danger,
Used to the unexplained pain…
