Early in the morning
a bright yellow glowing ball
rises from under floating
Scarlet purple and white clouds
Mingled amongst blue skies
rising over Mt Rainier
It promised to be a nearly
perfect springlike day
Announcing softly to a visitor
It does not always rain in Seattle
A fact those of native birth
Try to keep hidden from those
Who might just be passing by
A celesta orb that later
in the day well be orbiting
to be settle in nakedness
beneath a shadowed curtain
Dropping in the tides in
a dazzling vermilion Hemorrhage
To embrace tomorrow and another day
