The Haircut Thing

its been
90 degrees
so tired of these
so its gonna be
good bye girls
good bye curls
tomorrow y'all be

lopped off
lying all over
the floor

will I not be looking
like a real girl anymore

this will be some
adventure
I'll be a whole lot cooler
with my neck sheared for
the chopping block

odd, how I'm known and recognized
for my bouncing locks
How I'm going to relish
giving them the snip

reinventing myself
giving my old self the slip
and a whole new image
to reflect upon.
