understand he was a local boy

Put the album on and went out to garden
Next thing heard was the neighbors cat
Seemed to be in a fight with a raccoon
I complained, neighbor said he didn't have a cat
The record was stuck--no, that album went in the trash
I thought I had put the Chipmunks on
Neighbor said you really like Hendrix?

on Steriods don't you agree", the neightbor said?
The phone rang thought I had Jimi on again
My phone ring is the sound of chains rubbed together
I sure do miss Andy Williams and Peggy Lee
