Gods Alabama Son By EDWIN FLORES, www.PoetryPoem.com/poetry2231 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
His walk became the will of one
That came and said you are my son
Whom I conceived in thoughts before
Rebirth became your open door
The door more veil that I would tear
For you to come and also bare
Witness for me prepared to share
My love will shine a light through you
Bringing the blind to see me too
As you have done servant I made
Of tattered man, once lost now saved
You are mine to have and hold
The world once kept and briefly stole
My will would have its way with you
To rise above, become now new
You once were Alabama's son
But now you're mine with me now one
One to spread the seeds and sow
Life through words of mine you know
Tell them who thirst and hunger for
A chance to live with peace restored
Go forth and preach my word to them
Nourish, make haste as my time lends
And as you do you too will see
How well my plans worked out for thee
Fulfilled as was your destiny
To Tre Ford, Gods Alabama Son
