That we have a hard time
Saying to one another,
"I love you!"
Yet hate can last forever
That someone can not accept
That another person has another belief
When in reality we are all
Dictated by the beliefs of those around us
Cannot except we are different
and yet we are all the same
I can't dislike by color or religion
But I can by deeds
I look in a babies crib
And they are all cute and cuddly
Why my book title became,
"We all came from the womb of the Same Mother"
Grandson said he liked all my poetry
But the title would scare people away from reading
Children see things adults cannot
I see no end to the wars in the Middle East
Because through history one sides brother
has in hatred killed another man's brother
Because they well not allow each other their own beliefs
No one even commented on Assaulting a Meter maid
Because as a white man there was no demonstrations on the streets
