An Unopened Book

The Grand Reunion

What a reunion that would have been.
Him standing there open arms accepting.
His strong arms, wrapping around her.
Tears that would fall from each of their eyes.

Although to her it seemed so long,
for him it was only a moment ago.
The I love you's expressed from their lips.
A hallelujah from the choirs of angels.

The proud looks from others she knew.
So proud of how she lived, she made it.
Looking into the eyes of her parents.
Seeing what she had always believed.

Standing like an angel in the light of heaven.
No scars to show, no pain to feel.
She stands made perfect complete.
Oh what a reunion, that must have been.
