Milestones
We hope the years have been kind
to all the adventures left behind
From in the world and on our own
to having children who all have grown
Vessels filling strong and wise
that empty emotion from our eyes
As each milestone draws us near
to friends and family we hold dear
To sigh as we watch on this day
a union that draws us more away
To have, to hold, to bond, to share
until one day we're no longer there
8/24/14
to all the adventures left behind
From in the world and on our own
to having children who all have grown
Vessels filling strong and wise
that empty emotion from our eyes
As each milestone draws us near
to friends and family we hold dear
To sigh as we watch on this day
a union that draws us more away
To have, to hold, to bond, to share
until one day we're no longer there
8/24/14
