Yesterday's Memories

Cherished memories tucked away in  my heart
are precious as gold

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Tenderly I open them within my mind
reliving days of yesteryear

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Gone is my youth
Spring's blooms are fading

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Childhood friends are now graying with age
Where did time go

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

In my heart I am still that girl of fifteen
ready to take all of life that I can

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I am shocked to see my reflection
looking back at me in the mirror

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Oh, to rewind time
that robber of youth

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Then I look at my silver-haired  honey
his blue eyes twinkling with mischief

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I am willing to leave the past
 I am thankful for here and now

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Winter is calling
Today will be memories to take out and treasure tomorrow

*Life has not always been kind to me
But I can say My LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST has always walked with me
He sees me through the long nights and sad and bright days
HIS hand is always here for me to hold on to
He is the ONE who knows me and Still loves me

I am so very thankful He loves me and gave me the faith to believe in Him
I am so very thankful that I know Him and love Him
It is my hopeful prayer you too will know and love Him
He makes life worth living
