Before a cross I stood and saw
The son of man with body raw
Each wound spelled out the names of those
Upon body and me you chose
Chose to write one more for you
You whose life blood in me drew
A better man from inside out
A soul starving fed to amount
Amount to more as you see me
A soul so loved you would set free
Free to speak of you who gave
A broken man, a man enslaved
I watched before my very eyes
The Son of Man that washed of lies
My soul that wept as it crowned you
With crown of thorns as blood they drew
It was for me as nails would pierce
Your hands and feet for those with least
Least thought of by those who stood
Guard by you misunderstood
Soon a spear would pierce your side
Allowed by me as tears mine cried
A sea so filled of late remorse
Allowing death to take its course
And as you breathed your final breath
You conquered sin and too your death
For you would rise on that third day
Forgiving me and role I played
As I stood by....Forgiven
