Silver Bullet
I wear a silver bullet around my neck as a constant reminder
that I have lived for the past fifty years on borrowed time!
I could have taken this proverbial silver bullet while running across a muddy
minefield, just outside the wire at DaNang, Air Force Base in South Vietnam on the
cold monsoon night of: 11/21/1965.
But as fait would have it…I did not!
