 Elena's Humming Soul

Dazzling Stars

I see them like dazzling stars from afar
dancing on the still waters as the arc of gold
slowly touches the slumbering blue sea.

I hold my breath as frothy ebbs kiss the shore
and lingering seagulls finally soar their way back home.
Tattered rose petals may have drifted with the waves

But aimlessly, my soul
bullied by the arrogance of fate,
fathomless as the sea,

The horizon endless,
and dreams shattered
into myriads of illusion
