Look UP
Listen up now my brothers and sisters
Only you can make your live bigger and better
Like all the others you are too blessed with ambition
So you too can definitely broaden and brighten that horizon
Believe too that the heels of those beautiful feet
Can also too raise dust on those plush carpets in Wall Street
So don't feel marginalized no not in any way
Grasp that opportunity and make King's day
Don't always believe there is limitation because of race
Remember you have that stamina to maintain any pace
So don't be labeled as being just a street thug
Who is destined to be the one most likely to take drug?
Show them that you too have a mind and a dream
And that those eyes will sparkle giving off success's beam
Not intending to spend those days looking over the shoulder
Complying with the whims and fancies of the supplier or pusher
Who only agenda is to keep you firmly seated in the gutter
Therefore my friends there are lots to surely do
The road will be long the work will be hard that is true
But with that fortitude, such grit and a determined mind
You will certainly endure the grind with that test of time
Another not to discount and this is quite certain
Always support it in the arms of a form of education
This will in effect make them come to understand
That you are bigger and better than what they had planned
