Tell slaves, who are believers,
To abide by their masters;
And for being receivers,
Of the Word from their pastors.
Tell them not to be so bold,
Follow their authority;
Doing all that they are told,
To be a priority.
Tell them to please their masters,
And not to argue with them;
That will prevent disasters,
And their masters to condemn.
Tell slaves to show their respect,
How good and loyal they are;
Always accept not reject,
So they will be going far.
Then they will show the beauty,
Of the teachings from God;
With devotion to duty,
While you honor and laud.
For the kindness of the Lord,
And the benefits we learn;
Which never to be ignored,
Knowing that He will return.
We avoid ungodly lives,
Filled with worldly desires;
Waiting for when He arrives,
Has done all He requires.
So moral lives we can live,
And godly lives in this place;
For the past God did forgive,
And has given His embrace.
Because we can expect hope,
For our God and Savior;
So we endure as we cope,
As He looks down with favor.
