Welcome to My life in the shadows

Under Heavy Wings

In confusion of daylight
You lay wide-eyed
Looking like a missed placed princess
Lost in a wink,
A fever of smile
Once laughed in passing,
A face turned within shadows
And robbed of softness.
Surely this is how
 Tinker Bell
Must have felt
When young Peter
Kept her standing in the doorway
Hidden in darkness
As if she was something
Less than real in his heart,
Something that he refused to bring
Into the light of his love;
As his Never Land addictions
Held him,
Still as a stone unturned
While poor Tinker grasped
To control her heart rate
In the shade of love’s candle,
Drowning for any kiss
Of his kind words.
