Welcome to My life in the shadows

The Fly

We were in the car,
Your mother and I
At 80 miles per hour
When I heard
The buzz of a fly- -and then
Just into the length
Of a lazy curve
I caught a glimpse
Of blue and green
Between the dash lights and me
And even
With the windows down
Could not set it free
So I had no other cause,
You see,
But to take that fly
Home with me
Where he promptly joined us
For cakes and tea.
