The football game was a rival game
Shook hands before and after
It was military night
All were dressed as soldiers
But when one player dropped a pass
Stood In obvious pain
He was hugged and consoled by the home team
Hugs and a slap on the pads
And no it was not show me up
These kids have genuine concern for each other
Both teams in this time of crisis
And yes this is a time of crisis
Shouting, "USA USA--God bless America!"
Someone had to win but no one had to lose
I am proud of today's youth with reservations
This does not happen every football game
The world has to know that we are all brothers and sisters
And have indeed come from the womb of the same mother
