Windswept

The gnarls & scar's abound the skies,
Hovering and whirling to a bird lullaby.

Sounds so silent effervescent of mars
Handles and pots jumping into jars
Do you look up to the stars?

Streams of ice coming out of the night.
Suddenly you awaken with fright
Steam train bellows in the night.
Your mind all windswept
Reality bites into the night!

You are awake with sheets all knotted.
What fiendish dream was plotted?
Jump to the floor, you don't want more
Out to the fridge.
Open the door; the light screams go back to bed.

On the way back you start to drift,
Before hitting the pillow you're back to sleep.
