Where Have All the Flowers Gone

This is not the song with the same title.
It is my own work with the title from the song.
It is a wonder of where the flowers have all gone for they were once abundant and free.
They are few and far between today for some reason.
A couple of years ago there was a garden full of flowers.
But today it is all barren and lifeless.
The flowers that used to be there are now gone.
Where did they all go?
The ravages of time have swallowed them up; in  a word.
They have no longer any life left and have fallen by the way side.
This is the sadness that is felt within my own heart for the flowers have all gone.
They got lost somehow within the confines of the earth and will never be seen again.
There was no one to ever save them.
So this is where the flowers have all gone and will not return.
