Light A Candle For All Our Veterans

Though this is not a Federal holiday for the Veterans such as Memorial Day, it is a time to remember them.
I believe we should light a candle for the ones who have lost their life to serve their country.
It is something that behooves me to ponder the way things would have been had I served.
Would anyone remember me?
This is a most perplexing question of people remembering others for their sacrifices.
May we be cognizant and mindful of our fallen heroes and praise their efforts of what they have done.
I have two or more very special Veterans I would love to remember for their sacrifice.
Some of them have gone and possibly all of them have to their reward.
I am with a heart that is for the Veterans and know there are others who share my sentiments as well.
Not all Americans are cold hearted toward the Veterans though most are to my chagrin.
I am amiss to feel hard at anyone but it does disgust me there are those who have such hatred for the Veterans who served; in Viet Nam.
Praise the Lord for the ones who served over there and who have nightmares till this day for the awfulness that was true over there.
I have one such hero and his name is Terry S..
He has been a God send to me and the rest of this poetry community.
I revere him and will continue to do so.
