Speak Well of Those Who Have Gone Before Us

Speak well of those who have gone on before us as it is never right to speak ill of the dead.
This is only my conjecture but I believe it  has merit.
The Lord is above all and through all as we know.
He should be the One Who directs us; in our thoughts and intents of our hearts.
Jesus is truly our Example and He never once spoke ill of the dead ever.
The only exception is the evil one and he has no place; in the minds of Christians.
Again this is my own conjecture and not from the Word of God so I don't err presenting the Word of God.
If there are people who have gone on before you and you cherished them you will speak highly of them.
If you didn't cherish them give them the respect they deserve.
Be of one mind and heart when it comes to this matter and it may be rewarded.
Lean upon the Lord for all the answers there are for  you and you will know what to do.
My contention is that you be mindful of speaking well of the dead.
