If you want to see a fool then look at me
For I`m the biggest fool you will ever see,
I`d take the word of others to be true
That was my mistake which I did rue.
I know I was a soft touch in every way
"Elsie will do it" is what they used to say,
I seemed to be at everyone`s beck and call
And a mat to wipe their feet on I do recall.
I was far too good people used to say
But I can`t help it, it is just my way,
Taken for granted and thought of as `nice`
Those who used me soon paid the price.
I learned to say `no` which made heads turn
They had to stop using me they had to learn,
I decided not to be a victim anymore
I`ll stand up for myself that`s for sure.
That`s what I did now I`m nobody`s fool
I have learned to stop being their tool,
I played that part for far too long
I hope they see what they did was wrong.
