THE  'STARVING'  CAR  SALESMAN

Thin and skinny, almost as thin as he could be,
Was the pushy salesman who tried to sell to me.

A test drive I would not try as a car I'd not buy,
"Just leave me alone!" was my not-so-silent cry.

At last the scrawny man knew the die was cast,
And any chance to sell to me really had passed.

But that man was very soon quite happily joyous
As to the city transit crew he sold a new bus!
