Knowing
Do you not feel in those rare moments
That there is something deeper than life gives?
And at times you may see a wonder
Behind another eyes that is precious
So beautiful that tears fall from your eyes,
Because you have known what love is
Beyond all the masks that it wears
Above the voices that degrade it
And in the stillness of your heart
Something sings to you so softly
Until you know what it is to be human
To understand that in Spirit you never die
And that love is a light that never goes out.
