A Forgotten Rose

The two sat by the river one day all wrapped with the love for the other.
He presented her with a rose for which he freely gave her.
There was a whimper of joy from her as she received the rose.
It was a special one with yellow petals and a fragrance that was unlike any other.
The sun was creeping over the mountain where they were.
For you see it was not yet morning.
They had spent the night under the stars and was so; in love.
Happiness was shared that night as the two  bundled up together.
Passionate kisses were freely given to the other and the hugging was also there.
As the sun rose, the yellow rose opened its petals as if it were still on the  bush.
A magical rose and one that love had  been the cause.
What took place as the day went on was the clouds began to darken and the watery soldiers began to march.
Leaving there; on the mountain, the two left but the rose was left behind and forgotten.
Rachel wandered what happened to her rose and remembered she left it on the meadow.
The meadow was the part of the mountain the two had chosen for their time together.
The rose was never recovered and Rachel's heart was broken because of her lovely rose being gone.
