Since I was a small lad I looked around
And seeing what there was around me to see..
I made up my mind to do my best to find
All that money could never buy for me..
Real true love happiness and peace of mind
For all around me as wealthy as they may be..
Simply even then were not complete at all
From a world of stress and sadness not set free..
I over time have been called by some a dreamer
Even though I too worked hard and provided..
But from those that felt wealth was health
I guess from their thinking I was somewhat divided..
I expressed my thoughts and feelings with poetry
And in the many songs I'd written along the way..
I chose not to follow any one religion but remain
The captain of my very own soul until this day..
And finally I have all I have ever searched for
Knowing real true love happiness and peace of mind..
Where all that really matters is ever so priceless
And the most ever precious gifts of life to find..
I feel as if I was as if reborn this time to know
Of all that last time I never came to be aware..
As with having all the wealth upon this planet
So many never find these priceless are even there..
I've had the richest in passing talk to me at times
About the inner peace that I now know it's true..
And they softly say to me after all said and done
How they would adore living and knowing what I do..
To each his or her own the inner soul is ones home
And for myself I only ever wanted what I now know..
Real true two way love happiness and peace of mind
For that's all of us can ever take with us when we go..
