The wear and tear will grind this day
To cease beyond last breath that played
An end to life as some well drew
As peace is drawn to wars lived through
Through ailment theirs or accident
Or possibly of ill torments
That chipped away to keep ahead
Upon a soul much lived misled
Each step taken throughout their course
Uncharted waters, abyss, remorse
Became of years that wore as old
They came to be that kept its hold
Yet in the tides that came and went
Some left their mark, some lived well spent
As sands inside their hour glass
Came to last grain of poured out past
Maybe lost love was their demise
Or simply put tired were eyes
Of living through past one more day
Living heartache on theirs displayed
Yet time would come no less for them
Time you see came to just lend
The moment now as time knows when
It's time again, one's soul to tend
Time comes today
