THE SUN'S HEAT

It's burning my back and arms
My eyes squint at it's charms
No sun block here
To protect her skin
A cloud comes by
To diffuse the heat
Take off the thongs on my feet
Point them into this Seattle sky
Burning the soles
Of one who can cry.
