Slipping and sliding on the slippery slope
A place where you can`t hold on to any hope,
You grasp at straws just trying to cling on
Knowing that soon all your hope will be gone.
A glimmer of hope is all that you may need
Otherwise to the bottom you will be carried,
Searching wildly for some sort of sign
Knowing really it`s the end of the line.
The despair that engulfs you is kind of black
And you even try to claw your way back,
This is certainly not a good place to be
It is the light that you really want to see.
As you sink lower into despair
You ask yourself does anyone care,
Do they care you`re on this slippery slope
Without their love you`re devoid of hope.
Where has the love gone that you once knew?
Is this why your heart is suddenly so blue,
Don`t let it drag you down just try to hold on
And someday soon all your blues will be gone.
