I want to walk upon the Sea
Written by Adam M. Snow
In the midst of the storm
upon the deep blue mere, I sat;
a vessel, lonely in rotten form -
lonely, the sea rages on.
My seas rages within me;
stormy night, crashing tides.
I want to walk upon the sea;
I, alone cannot without Thee.
Let Thee be my guide,
let Thine eyes guide me.
If I shall walk upon the mere,
will Thou eyes save me?
The sea's crashing, wind's roaring;
sorrow fills my heart.
Thunder's crashing, rain's pouring;
darkness looms, a veil upon my sight.
I want to walk upon the sea,
whether raging or still.
I want to walk out to Thee,
will Thou eyes save me?
Will Thee call my name
with outstretched hand upon the sea?
Would I be insane,
if I take the first step to Thee?
Will I drown upon the mere,
if I leave my vessel sitting here?
If I turn from Thee, would I sink
into the abyss below, the ocean's brink?
